Who cooks for you all?

This shy critter is the Barred Owl who apparently knocked himself unconscious yesterday morning by flying into the sliding glass door of our dining room. First I thought he was dead, then seriously injured, and then by the time I had gone around to get a better picture he either flew away or vanished into thin air. I couldn't tell you which, even though I was four feet away at the time. For such noisy birds (listen to their call at the link) they sure move quietly.
